The Foundation: Charity
Omni MLC is a music program with a mission to unite the core values of family, faith and education through the development of music skills, and to expose our students to a variety of career options.
"We set the highest expectations for our students by emphasizing character, performance and exposure while minimizing the influence of external socioeconomic forces through a diverse curriculum reinforced with supplemental learning activities."- Our Pledge
Omni has a goal in mind to assist the CPS in reaching its goals of success within music without being a hinderance or extreme financial burden to the "currently established" music programming of our schools. Omni curriculum aligns itself with standards set by the "Chicago Guide for Teaching and Learning in the Arts"and is tailored to the individual school. Focused primarily on the high school age group, our approach is simple:
1. Expose the student body to various musical possibilities and probe the needs and desires of the school (students and music faculty) with regards to music appreciation, performance, technology, business and fundamental study.
2. Address the needs of the program through our many music resources and serve as a thoroughly engaged source of seminars, workshops, private lessons, student teaching, and ensemble assistance towards reaching CPS standards.
3. The host school may benefit from our focus on the school deficiencies and immediate needs, freeing the faculty to maintain their more holistic curriculum approach.

- We here at Omni Music Learning Center for Cultural Development are excited about the many ways our program is engaged within the community.
- Currently having worked in the Morgan Park, Bronzeville, and Englewood communities, we have enjoyed seeing Chicago's youth take part in learning and exploring music.
- Our youth has also experienced volunteer work and community involvement with such organizations as: the Chicago Jazz Ensemble, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Canaan Community Church and many other groups.
